The first PAX South sees the showcasing of several indie titles, a few mid-sized titles (Grey Goo, Dreadnaught), and the occasional hardware vendor. We figured a quick sales recap could commemorate the first major gaming convention in the southern US.
The games featured below range from titles from the 80’s up to newly-released games, with discounts generally sitting at 50% or higher. Be sure to keep watch on our YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter accounts for new articles as they’re posted.
Square Enix games: There’s a big sale on a number of Square Enix games, up to 50% off for around 30 separate titles. This sale is covering the Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Hitman, Thief, and the Sleeping Dogs series. Prices range from $3.50 up to about $15 for individual games and under $40 for combo packs of up to 5 titles.
Dungeon of the Endless – Crystal Edition: This rogue-like dungeon defense game is currently on sale for $8, a 60% savings. The game has received extremely high praise from users on Steam, and developers AMPLITUDE Studios are constantly working with players to address the bugs as quickly as they can. Like with most indie games, the graphics aren’t going to blow anyone away, but they do manage to accomplish a lot with them. Put together a team and protect the crystal from an infinitely expanding series of rooms... or die.
Tesla Effect: The Tex Murphy series was re-launched in the middle of last year with the Tesla Effect. It’s a classic adventure game with 3D object location tasks that enable puzzle-solving. Fans of this type of game should be thrilled as the Tex Murphy series was some of the best writing for that genre. It’s currently on sale for 50% off, only $10 total.
