Last week we visited San Francisco for GDC, the Game Developers Conference, where we interviewed AMD (content forthcoming), Intel about Devil’s Canyon, the EverQuest Next team, Clockwork Empires devs, Dreamfall Chapters devs, and more. Content is still pending publication for many of these interviews (thanks given to our hotel internet bottlenecking video uploads), but it’s time to start switching gears for GTC – the GPU Technology Conference, as hosted by nVidia.
GTC is a highly-technical conference that focuses on educating developers on the applications and programming methodologies of CUDA, teaching Maxwell’s architecture, showcasing VisualFX systems (fur, hair, smoke), and more. I’ll be focusing on panels related to gaming and architecture, with photographer (and CS engineer) Jim Vincent focusing on CUDA and architecture.
The plan is to learn enough about the new Maxwell GPUs that we can adequately educate you all on the industry’s trends and advancements. That’s all coming this week, so stay tuned. There will be a slight lull in content from 3/27-3/29 as I travel back home and prepare for PAX East.
