We dedicate GN to assisting hardware enthusiasts and PC gamers in their troubleshooting and PC building endeavors. First-and-foremost, we produce helpful, quality, researched content that either informs or entertains, ideally helping gamers along the way. We've been doing this for five years now -- since 2008 -- and our forum and editorial staff is largely volunteer-driven and unpaid. If you'd like to support our desire to minimize the intrusiveness of advertisements and provide high-quality analytical content, we'd be infinitely grateful.
What do I get for supporting GN?
The subscription and donation options are mostly to support GN and its staff. If you've enjoyed or learned from our content (or benefitted from our expert forum support) and want to give a little bit back, this is the way to do it. We do our best to reward subscribers for their loyalty, so as often as possible, we'll give away shirts, hardware, game keys, or other items as a token of appreciation. Our goal is to give away one item per month to our subscribers (at random or by contests), but these are not guaranteed in any given timeframe, though we make active efforts to have giveaways sponsored. Subscribing for $2 a month automatically places you in our system.
By supporting GN with a subscription, we'll add you to an email distribution list (using your PayPal contact email) that notifies you of upcoming contests/giveaways and other subscriber-specific content. Again, though, make note that this is to support the site; we'll give things away as often as possible, but the community funding mostly allows us to continue producing content without evil overlords looming over us. Note that the contests/giveaways, when they do happen, are separate from our site-wide contests/giveaways. That means you'll be in a separate pool for the subscriber giveaways. Your PayPal email is what we will contact when newsletters announcing giveaways are distributed.
If you'd rather just give us a one-time, non-recurring donation -- perhaps as a token of appreciation for helping you with a system build or technical hurdle -- you can use the button below.
All the best to our readers! You guys have made our hopes of providing high-octane gaming hardware content a reality.
