Hardware Sales - ADATA 256GB SSD for $65, iFixit Toolkit for $50
Posted on December 18, 2016
Newegg’s Techmas and pre-holiday sales continue throughout the month of December. Throughout this weekend, you can pick up an ADATA 256GB SSD, Seasonic Modular 650W Power Supply, and an iFixit toolkit if you need a good set to tackle a late 2016 PC build. We also have identified a couple different kits of G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8) DRR4 RAM, presently down-priced for EOY Christmas sales.
ADATA Ultimate SU800 256GB SSD ($65) - First on the list is a SATA SSD from ADATA, coming in at $65 dollars after rebate on Newegg until December 21st. The SU800 by ADATA has sequential read and write speeds of 560/520 MB/s, and with 256GB of storage, it is priced at $0.25 per GB. With a potential upcoming rise in SSD prices, now is the time to buy an SSD if you are in the market for one.
Seasonic SSR-650RM 650W Power Supply ($70) - Power supply units are one of the most crucial parts to any upgrade or new PC build and are often overlooked. Going cheap on a PSU can impact performance (or even life) of other components. From now until December 21st, you can pick up this Seasonic SSR-650RM 650W PSU at Newegg for $70 (or $55 with a rebate offer). The unit is 80 Plus Gold Certified, which promises efficient power conversion while retaining a lower price. The Seasonic SSR-650RM is a modular unit and comes with a 5-year warranty. If this PSU does not meet your needs we suggest heading over to our Best PSUs of 2016 article.
iFixit Classic Pro Tech Toolkit ($50) - Next is an iFixit Toolkit on sale at Newegg for $50 through December 22nd. The Classic Pro Tech Toolkit comes with a 54-bit driver kit, plastic opening tools, precision tweezers set, tech knife, anti-static wrist wrap, small suction cup, spudger, metal spudger set, iFixit 6-inch ruler, and an iFixit Pro Tech Tool Roll case. If you are looking to pick up a good toolkit for PC hardware, the iFixit Classic Pro Tech Toolkit is one to consider. We use iFixit regularly in our tear-down and build-up videos, and have come to like the Pro Tech kits for their portability.
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-2400 ($75-80) - DDR4 is becoming more the mainstream, with Intel’s Kaby Lake and AMD’s Ryzen both utilizing the DDR4 platform. Now until December 21st, you can pick up a kit of G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-2400 for $75 to $80 on Newegg. There are 3 available color options in Red ($80), Blue ($75), and Silver ($75). This Ripjaws V Series kit comes timed at 15-15-15-35 and 2400 MHz and come with a “Lifetime” warranty, per Newegg’s Warranty and Returns section.
That’ll do it for some of the deals this weekend, but be sure to check back next week as sales continue.
