Video Card Sales Round-Up: GTX 980 Ti for $600, R9 380 for $160, & More

Black Friday isn't far off now, and the timing couldn't be better in coordination with the games industry: Call of Duty, Fallout 4, and Battlefront are all rolling forward, full-steam ahead, and are ready to make use of modern gaming hardware. This week, we found a GTX 980 Ti discounted to $600, an R9 380, and a pair of GTX 970s.
EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB ($600 after rebate): Liquid cooling is nice, but EVGA's air-cooled 980 Ti is a solid $100 cheaper at the moment. There's also a choice of a free copy of Rainbow Six Siege or Assassin's Creed Syndicate included in this offer, but this deal "expires" to some degree at midnight tonight (11/15)--the free games will probably stick around, but the price may not. The "free installed backplate" is a nice touch as well, whether it actually adds any value or not.
MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB ($300 after rebate): Of course, a 970 is far cheaper than any 980 Ti, especially with a $30 discount and a $20 rebate. Just like EVGA's card, MSI's comes with a choice of Rainbow Six/Assassin's Creed, which Newegg values at a rather pessimistic $0.99.
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB ($315): EVGA's card has a slightly higher core clock than MSI's (1190 vs 1140Mhz), but it's $15 more--and there's no mail-in rebate to bother with (no free game either, though). Otherwise, the two cards are effectively identical, except for their cooling.
XFX BLACK Edition Radeon R9 380 2GB ($160 after rebate): On the more affordable side of things, this R9 380 is $60 less than its listed price. An R9 380 is able to handle most modern games, and forthcoming “Radeon Software” releases, alongside likely driver updates, makes for an exciting time for AMD's non-hardware division.
