Gaming Hardware Sales: 980 Ti Hybrid for $700, 250GB SSD at $88, & $65 WD Black 1TB

There's no trade-in program for your kids' candy, unfortunately, but there are still a few hardware sales through the weekend. EVGA's GTX 980 Ti Hybrid is marked down $50, the 850 EVO makes for a cheap SSD, and some budget-class storage and cases are also running low prices.
EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Hybrid ($700): At $50 off, the Hybrid is easily a better value than its not-$50-off sibling, the MSI Sea Hawk. Keep an eye on those prices, though--our tests revealed that the Sea Hawk has a slight advantage in performance.
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD ($88): It's probably not enough space for a whole system, but 250GB is plenty for an OS and a few games. The math comes out to about $0.35 per gigabyte—seems SSDs are actually affordable now. Buy a few, reenact this old video, impress your friends.
Cooler Master Elite 430 Mid-Tower ($25 with code+rebate): It's not fancy, but it's also $25. This is a solid case for a budget build that doesn't generate much heat; regardless, we think it needs more than the single 120mm fan that it ships with, so factor that into the cost.
Western Digital Black 1TB HDD ($65 with code): As nice as $0.35 per gigabyte might be, under $0.07 is even better. As always, check out our WD naming convention guide for more information, but Black HDDs are generally the durable workhorse of the bunch--I'm pretty sure I've been using this exact model for the past four or five years. HDDs may be slow and noisy and fragile when compared to SSDs, but they're a dirt cheap way to archive things.
