This weekend's gaming hardware sales rounds-up a slew of core components, with focus directed toward an SSD, CLC, and CPU. Intel's i7-4790 ships with a slight instant discount, PNY's 240GB SSD is shipped below $0.50 per GB, and the H80i is available with an MIR.
Intel i7-4790 ($300): After $10 instant discount using “0429GCTE18” at checkout, Intel's i7-4790 quad-core CPU ships at $300. For users who demand hyperthreaded, quad-core performance and don't need room for overclocking, the non-K SKU of the 4790 offers an option for a slightly reduced price.
PNY CS2111 240GB SSD ($100): PNY's XLR8 SSD is presently available with free shipping and a slight discount, landing the drive at $100 shipped. The unit makes for a reasonably-performant primary storage device for the OS and core applications, with room for one or two games atop core software.
Corsair Hydro H80i CLC ($80): After $10 MIR and free shipping, Corsair's H80i CLC provides a smaller radiator for more compact liquid cooling. The unit is 120mm and includes a single fan operating at 2700RPM. It's not the quietest liquid cooler in the world, but it'll assist with high-TDP CPUs when running on a budget.
