Flash Sale: Rosewill Cases & PSUs 35% Off, Includes Enthusiast Line
Posted on June 11, 2014
We sometimes post these flash sales when a good deal springs up before our weekend hardware sales round-ups. Case, peripherals, & PSU manufacturer Rosewill presently has some of its gaming enclosures and power supplies listed with a steep discount.
The entire sale catalog can be seen here, but let's break down some of the more noteworthy items:
Rosewill Throne Full-Tower ($120): GN Editor Steve is actually using the white Throne for his personal system right now. The Throne is a full-tower enclosure that builds upon the preceding Thor V2 design. The Throne ships with 2x140mm front fans, 2x140mm top fans, 1x230mm side fan, and 1x140mm rear fan, making it one of the best-cooled enclosures on the market for the price. The white version looks excellent when paired with HyperX's new white Fury RAM, but there's also a black version available.
Rosewill R5 Budget Case ($50): We spoke very highly of Rosewill's R5 when we reviewed it a few years back. The enclosure is one of the best budget cases on the market -- quality is overall high for its price, cooling is good, filtration features are ample, and ease-of-installation is present. For those building a system on a budget right now, this is an easy pick-up at $50.
Rosewill HIVE 650W PSU ($70): The HIVE-650 is a -- go figure -- 650W PSU with a fully-modular cable design, rated as 80 Plus Bronze. 650W is more than enough for most PC builds; the feature-set makes this one a reasonable purchase for those assembling mid-range systems with a demand for power, modularity, and some efficiency.
Rosewill Hercules 1600W PSU ($320): OK. You got me. I'm just including this one because it's fun to look at. The Hercules PSU is really somewhat of an engineering marvel, as far as PSUs go. We first looked at the power supply a few years back when it was announced, primarily highlighting its raw 1600W of continuous power while maintaining an 80 Plus Silver rating and modularity. This PSU could power two systems easily and even has the ports to do so. If you were to set this one up inside of a HAF Stacker, you could run cabling to two rigs.
