Given the
Game Sales
Ultimate Lego Bundle ($45): It's been a long time since we've talked about a Lego series game, but they're still going strong after 2014's blockbuster movie release. This bundle deal combines The Lego Movie Videogame, Lego Batman, Lego Batman 2, Lego Harry Potter (Years 1-4 and Years 5-7), LOTR, Marvel Super Heroes, and The Hobbit in a single package for $45. The code is redeemed on Steam.
Deus Ex: GOTY ($3): For those who never played the original Deus Ex, released in 2000 as one of the only dystopian games available at the time, it's on Amazon for $3 right now. The game has turned into a multi-title franchise and focuses on a mix of stealth/action gameplay with a cyberpunk flare. The code is redeemed on Steam.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution ($9): The most recent iteration of the Deus Ex series came out in 2011. Human Revolution is the third game in the series (after Invisible War). Deus Ex: HR has updated graphics and a cinematic story set in the same dystopian cyberpunk future, though feels a bit more modern in its gameplay elements.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD ($2.50): At least two members of GN staff have the THPS series to thank for their music taste. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater first shipped on the Nintendo 64 in 2000 and PlayStation in 1999, later becoming one of the best-selling franchises of the era. The game places you in the skate shoes of Tony Hawk, Burnquist, or other pro skaters and uses classic arcade combo chains to build points. This game is added to your Amazon library.
Rockstar Ultimate Collection ($26): Rockstar Games has a bundle going right now that ships Bully, GTA 3, GTA IV, GTA Vice City, GTA: Episodes from Liberty City, GTA: San Andreas, LA Noire, Manhunt 1 & 2, and Max Payne 2 all together for $26. I don't think this one needs further explaining. The games are added to your Amazon library.
Batman Arkham City GOTY ($5): Fans of Batman will be happy to hear that this non-Affleck, masked superhero can be played for $5 right now.
Hardware Sales
XFX R9 280X ($300): XFX's take on AMD's Radeon R9 280X drops to a tempting $300 after a 6% discount code (MEMRDY7) and $20 MIR. In the $250-$300 price range, the R9 280X is the best-performing video card for gaming and will handle effectively everything thrown at it, at least on a single monitor setup. A 3GB framebuffer is available for those who burn video RAM with high-resolution texture packs.
Corsair CXM 600W PSU ($55): After $10 MIR, Corsair's 600W 80 Plus Bronze modular PSU ships for $55. The unit is desirable for anyone in the budget PC building space. Modularity makes for easy cable management, 80 Plus Bronze certification ensures some power efficiency, and 600W is more than enough for the vast majority of PCs being built.
Intel i5-4440 CPU ($175): CPUs rarely go on sale through most retailers and e-tailers. Intel's i5-4440 breaks the rule with promo code "MEMRDY8," dropping down to $175 from the usual $195. This CPU is worthwhile for system builders assembling an Intel machine with no intention of overclocking; it is still recommended that an i5-4670K is purchased for overclocking endeavors.
