Amazon game streaming subsidiary Twitch has announced its new gaming convention, “TwitchCon,” to take place in Moscone Convention Center (West) this September. The company, which was recently acquired by Amazon, issued the following statement:
“Twitch broadcasters have the most passionate fans, so we want to create an amazing experience where they can come together in person. TwitchCon will be an opportunity for the entire community—broadcasters, game developers, viewers, and us—to play and learn together.”
Twitch indicated that its new convention will run from September 25 to 26 at San Francisco's Moscone Convention Center, shared as a home to GDC in March. As of yet, no additional information has been announced in an official way.
