Our arrival at MLG Raleigh 2011 was greeted by a single, amorphous mass of anxious gamers zealously storming the gates of Major League Gaming’s grand opening. Professional gamer and commentator presence is still climbing to critical mass as I type, but from the tiny windows available in the press room, I can see HuskyStarcraft, Day[9], Artosis, Tasteless, idrA, Spanishiwa, and a handful of other big-name StarCraft 2 players. Big-name teams that we've sighted so far are: Evil Geniuses, Liquid, Vile, and FNATIC.
Last year led us to expect exhilarating match-ups from MLG’s live tournament setting, and definitely proved entirely worth attending; well, we’re here again, and will soon be watching and reporting the outcome of the Epic vs. Pro Gears of War 3 tournament later this evening, followed in suit by a behind-the-scenes walk-through complemented with video and photography. You can expect thorough coverage of StarCraft 2’s tournament series throughout the weekend, some League of Legends coverage, and possibly some of the showmatches spliced in.
