All contests hosted by or on Gamers Nexus (www.GamersNexus.net) will follow these guidelines and rules:

Legal Guidelines

These rules, in league with any other rules designated by Gamers Nexus, apply to any competition which is run by (or on behalf) of Gamers Nexus (“Competition”). If you participate, compete, or otherwise take part in a Competition, you agree to be bound by the Competition Rules and by the decisions of Gamers Nexus, which are final in all matters related to the Competition. Gamers Nexus, in its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any entrant and/or winner in correspondence with the Competition rules.

All submissions and/or entries must be received at the designated location (i.e., an email address, a forum thread, or physical address) during the time-frame in which the Competition is open, and any late, incomplete, or corrupted entries will be disqualified. If relevant, proof of posting shall not be regarded proof of reception or delivery. No responsibility can be accepted in the event that entries are are lost, misdirected, delayed, or corrupted during delivery to the designated location for any reason whatsoever. Unless otherwise stated, entries which are submitted via an agency or similar firm will be promptly disqualified, all entries must be submitted by an individual and are limited to one entry per household, per contest. Third party sponsors of the Competition may provide prizes. Gamers Nexus reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute any prize provided with cash or a prize of comparable value.

Winning entries will be those meeting entry criteria and most clearly meet the requirements of the Competition. Each competition, unless otherwise stated, is open to all legal residents of the US (except for Rhode Island and Puerto Rico), GB, Canada, and Europe (except for where prohibited by law). The Competition is void in Rhode Island, Puerto Rico, and where prohibited by law. All entrants must be 18 years and over. Employees of (1) Gamers Nexus, (2) Competition sponsor(s), and (3) any third party appointed by Gamers Nexus to organize and/or manage the Competition are not permitted to enter in the Competition. By entering a Competition you:

- Grant Gamers Nexus, any third parties appointed by Gamers Nexus for the purpose of managing and/or organizing the Competition, and the Competition sponsor(s) permission to use your name and likeness for the purpose of managing and/or organizing the Competition, for announcing the winner of the competition and for related promotional purposes without compensation (except where prohibited by law); and

- Grant Gamers Nexus and any Competition sponsor(s) the right to use your personal contact information to supply you with materials regarding their products and/or services related to Video and/or Tabletop Gaming. If you do not wish to receive this information, please \contact a Gamers Nexus staff member via the Contact Us web page.

- Accept that all submissions and/or entries will become the property of Gamers Nexus upon receipt and will not be returned. All rights you have concerning intellectual property and copyright comprising the Competition entry will be retained, but by entering the Competition, you

-- Waive any moral rights or similar rights you have in your Competition entry whether such rights arise pursuant to the Copyright, Designs and Patent Act 1988 (the “Act”) or equivalent legislation anywhere in the world;

-- Grant Gamers Nexus, its licensees, and sponsor(s) of the corresponding Competition the right, free-of-charge, to republish your Competition entry;

-- In the event of a dispute, entries by the Internet will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The “authorized account holder” is a natural person who is assigned the email address by an Internet service provider, access provider, or other online organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

-- And guarantee to Gamers Nexus that the Competition entry and/or submission is entirely original to you and not entirely nor substantially copied from other material, and guarantee that the Competition entry submitted by you does not defame, cause injury to or invade the privacy of or otherwise infringe or violate any statutory, common law, regulatory or intellectual property rights of any third parties.

-- Understand and acknowledge that the winner may not redeem prizes for cash value nor substitute any additional prizes, and that prizes are not transferable by the winner.

- Unless otherwise stated, no purchase is necessary. Making a purchase does not increase chances of winning.

- Chances of winning may vary, and depend on the number of valid entries received and prizes available.

- Gamers Nexus, its employees, licensees, and assigns, as well as Competition Sponsor(s), are not responsible if Competition does not take place or if any prize cannot be awarded due to travel cancellations, delays or interruptions due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather, or acts of terrorism.

- All taxes, fees, and surcharges on prize(s) are the sole responsibility of their corresponding winner(s).

If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, human error or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives.

Caution: Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Competition may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, sponsor(s) reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Winners may have to provide further information, interpolating – without limitation – proof of identity or age, and/or dispatch complete and amended documents to Gamers Nexus within a designated time-frame. Inability or failure to provide any requested further information and/or complete and amended documents within the designated time-frame, or notification that these documents and information were undeliverable as addressed, will result in prompt disqualification of you as a winner, and a substitute winner will be selected.

Anyone who requests the names and details of winning entries will be sent the same within a time-frame of three (3) months of the Competition's date of closure. Any such requests should be sent to the email address of Gamers Nexus' current Editor-in-Chief, available on the Contact Us web page.

In the event that you have won a Competition:

- You agree that neither Gamers Nexus nor any Competition Sponsor(s), their subsequent agents, employees, subcontractors, or other equivalent assigned worker of their corresponding company, shall have liability of any kind to you whatsoever in connection with your use and/or possession of your prize, given that nothing in these Competition Rules shall exclude or limit any liability of any party for your personal injury or death caused by negligence or for anything else which cannot be excluded or limited by law.

- The receipt by you of any prize is conditional to your compliance with any and all pertinent regulations, rules, laws, and without limitation, the Competition Rules.

Gamers Nexus, unless otherwise stated, is the promoter of the Competition. If any of the aforementioned rules are deemed invalid, unenforceable, or illegal, the related rules shall be removed from these Competition Rules, but any and all rules remaining within this document shall continue in full effect. These Competition Rules and each Competition are governed by United States law. Shall any disputes surface between Gamers Nexus and any third party in relation to any Competition or these Competition Rules, these disputes shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction in United States' courts, granted that Gamers Nexus shall be, at its discretion, entitled to take action against a third party in any other jurisdiction.

Unless otherwise stated, all entrants must be registered (Free) members of www.GamersNexus.net.

To enter any competition, follow the specific instructions given on that event's news posting. Typical instructions may be to post a comment or email a specific address.
