Retrospective: Morrowind
Alright, enough blog posts about APB recently. Here's something different. This story takes place - uh... a long time ago - in Morrowind (duh) on the original Xbox (unfortunately, those loading times sucked).
I traveled north from Vos, on some long forgotten mission. As I neared the sea, a fantastic Deadric ruin appeared on the horizon. I was a spellsword, primarily a mage but often reliant on my powerful summoned dagger. I had stolen a full set of priceless glass armor from the Mage's Guild by magically picking the lock, slowly loosing loyalty with them as I rose in rank with House Telvani. I felt unstoppable as I neared a mysterious Deadric ruin for the very first time.
Major patches - need help
I just uploaded some major patches for the website, took about 4 hours to get done. Please do me a favor and click around on the site - run searches, click links (internal), view reviews, even write user reviews. All that stuff. Let me know if you find anything that is broken or leads to a 500 error.
It'll help a lot. Thanks guys!
GG no RE column coming up
The new GG no RE (good game, no rematch) column is in the preparatory stages. The first article is about overhype in the gaming industry and how it can obliterate a solid concept. Here's an excerpt to get you interested:
"All inputs accrue an output, and the output of hype is speculation. Gamers have a powerful tool at their fingertips; actually, it's probably under them right now. At the blink of an eye, you could have your Xfire or Steam friendslist open, social networks whirring, forum topics posting, and emails sending. You have the ability to create or hear any rumor and send it to hundreds, if not thousands of target-audience people. People who want to hear these things. Gamers with an inherently piqued interest, all of them likely to repeat the rumor to at least one friend. It's the Telephone Game. That's why speculation and rumors circulating video games are equal parts drive, threat, and disappointment. I will use Will Wright's Spore as an example to explain these three key elements."
School Schedule - Semester 1
So I signed up for my first semester of school at Wake Tech CC. I'm planning to attend this community college for 3 semesters before transferring to another school, but there is another reason Wake Tech is unique: Simulation & Game Development.
Space_man's Ramblings
Yesterday your favorite site admin came up to me. Well, actually, he messaged me on steam chat. The conversation went something like this:
"Hi Space_man!" he said.
"Hi site admin Lelldorianx" I said. "How are you doing?
He replied, "The blog on my website isn't working properly. Could you help me troubleshoot it Space_man?"
"Ok site admin Lelldorianx" I answered.
Subsequently troubleshooting took place and the blog was fixed.
"Wow, you fixed it site admin Lelldorianx!" I said. "Maybe I should make a blog now!"
"Yes, Space_man, commence blogging" he replied.
"Ok" I said. "But what should I blog about?"
"EVERUTHING IN UNIVERSE" he replied. And he was right.

Well, the blog is working.
I finally got the blog mostly working. You guys are free to use it and post all you want now! I have a few more tweaks to do, but just go to Applications > Browse > MyBlog and add it. Get going!
Aaah! Updates!
So I am still working on integrating some new features, such as the GamerCards, but the good news is that I have figured out how to add new tabs and plugins properly. You will notice there is now a GamerCard tab on your profile... I just haven't really done much with it yet. It'll have Steam Card and XBL / PSN cards in the next few days.
Things are rolling
After many painful hours in the cave, hiding from people, animals, weather, and food, I've finally completed The Nexus update. You can view a list of some of the great new features on the forums (it's a global announcement), or always just click around here.
